The Whirlpool of Time
As another year completes its turn, time feels less like a straight line and more like a wheel — circling, spiraling, returning. In yogic thought, this wheel is the chakra: movement, rhythm, becoming. Yet every turning carries within it the possibility of stillness.
This poem is a contemplative reflection, inspired by yogic and Shaiva philosophy, expressed in my own words. It is not a teaching, but a quiet witnessing — of cycles dissolving, of breath remembering its source, and of time loosening its grip as awareness turns inward.
May it be read slowly, as one would watch the last light of a fading day.
The Whirlpool of Time
Chakra means wheel, a whirlpool divine,
Spiraling through ages, beyond space and time.
The river of moments, the ocean of breath,
Kundalini rises, transcending death.
One life dissolves, another takes flame,
Each chakra aligning, no two the same.
Yet in their dance, perfection is found,
A cosmic rhythm, a sacred sound.
Whirlpool of God, timeless and vast,
Future and present melded with the past.
Until the soul, in silence profound,
Meets Mahakaala, where all is unbound.
Shiva awaits, eternal embrace,
The wheel becomes still, dissolves into grace.
No birth, no ending, no shadow, no strife—
Only the union, the source of all life.
That’s all for now. May the whirlpool of time within you deepen — where movement yields to stillness, and power softens into grace. With quiet reverence for that sacred meeting, I let my pen return to silence.
