What he thinks is bad might be good for you
We all see things from our own perspective. A same thing can have different
view points and angles. I remember a short story that I read in the past...
Once upon a time few woodcutters were cutting a tree. It was late evening and
they all were tired. One of them suggested that let the tree trunk be as it is
and they will continue on it tomorrow. Agreeing with him all of them left for
their homes...
The darkness started its play of shadows as few people passed near by the
trunk. See what they thought of the trunk:
- A little child looked at the trunk and thought of it as a Ghost.
- A thief looked at the trunk and looking at its shadow thought of it as a
police man
- A police man was passing by and thought of the trunk as a thief hidden
with stolen goods
- A lover waiting for this girlfriend thought as if she was coming
- A monk was passing by and thought of the trunk as a small temple
That is what happens in the world as well. We see the things as per our past
experiences and biases. Our subconscious mind manifests our desires and projects
them on top of the gross mind. The gross mind stimulates a strong impulse and
even the sense organs start believing false things as truth.
That's why I say - "What he thinks is bad might be good for you."
