Yoga Kundalini Upanishad - Part
Yoga Kundalini Upanishad - Part 2
Now detailing of science called Khechari.
One who masters this science is freed from old age and death. Knower of this
science should practice Khechari with firm mind. One who has learned Khechari
from texts, by exposition of its meaning and practice and gained mastery of it
becomes destroyer of old age, death and disease.
One should approach such a master and consider him as a Guru. Khechari is not
easily attainable. Its practice and Melana are not attained simultaneously.
The core understanding of Khechari is secret. It is explained by masters only
during initiation.
Those who do practice alone do not succeed in Melana. Only few are inclined
to take up this practice after several births. Even after hundred births Melana
is not attained.
Those who take up the practice of Khechari for several births may get Melana
in future births.
Yogi obtains various siddhis when he learns Melana directly from the Guru.
Yogi becomes Shiva, free from rebirths, when he attains Melana by
understanding its essence from various texts.
This science is very difficult to master. A Yogi wanders on the earth unless
he gets this knowledge.
The Yogi gets siddhis and powers the moment this science is mastered.
A Guru who gives the knowledge of Melana should be considered as Lord Vishnu.
One who teaches the practice should be considered as Lord Shiva.
This science must be kept secret and should not be given to unsuitable
person.
One becomes the Lord of Khecharas by uniting with Khechari Shakti i.e.
Kundalini.
The Khechari Mantra
Khechari contains Bija mantra. Khechari Bija is said to be Agni surrounded by
water. It is the abode of Khecharas. The ninth Bija of Somamsa (moon face)
should be pronounced in reverse order. Then consider it as the supreme and its
beginning as fifth.
One who recites this twelve times each day remains free from Maya or delusion
even in sleep.
One who recites this for five lakh times, Khechari will reveal itself. All
obstacles will be destroyed and deities are pleased.
Once acquired this science should be practiced regularly otherwise no siddhis
will result.
If one doesn't obtain this science, he should obtain it in the beginning of
Melana and recite it always. Without this science siddhis are never attained.
Khechari mantra consists of seven Bijas namely HRIM, BHAM, SAM, PAM, PHAM,
SAM, KSHAM.
Khechari Mudra
One who has knowledge of Atman should lengthen the tongue and remove its
impurities as guided by Guru.
He should take a sharp clean knife and cut a small portion equivalent to
length of hair of the frenum lingui (a mass below the tongue that keeps the
tongue attached with lower jaw). Then rock salt should be applied to the
place.
After seven days again the procedure should be repeated and this cycle should
be repeated for a period of six months.
Within six months root of the tongue becomes free from the veins. Then tip of
the tongue should be tied to a cloth and should lengthen it by drawing it out.
By constant lengthening it reaches to the middle of the eyebrows and up to
the ears. Gradually it reaches up to the root of the chin.
In three years it goes up to the line of hair (of the head) and up to the
well of the throat.
In yet another three years it reaches Bramharandhra. It then goes to the top
of the head and well of the throat.
Gradually it opens the great door in the head.
One should then recite Khechari Mantra in six different intonations. This
gives all siddhis.
Gradually Karanyasa should be done and not at once as it causes decay of the
body.
One should then move the bolt of Bramha. The bolt of Bramha cannot be
attained even by Devas.
After doing this by fingertip for three years, the Yogi should insert the
tongue within. It thus enters Bramhadwara (door of Bramha). He should then
practice churning.
Some attain siddhis without churning. One who is master in Khechari Mantra
attains the fruits by recitation and churning. A Yogi should hold breath in
heart, connect a wire made of gold, silver or iron with nostrils by means of a
thread soaked in milk. With eyes fixed on eyebrow center he should practice
churning slowly.
In next six months the churning becomes a natural process.
One should not practice churning always but only once in a month.
After twelve years of practice the practitioner obtains siddhi. He realizes
that entire universe and atman are one and the same.
This science of Urdhwa Kundalini conquers macrocosm.
